I'm Ariel. I'm a designer, former digital marketer, and your new personal cheerleader on Instagram.

Nice to meet you!

Hey there!

My mission is to empower women who are trying to make this world a better place
in whatever way that they do -
by providing them with the tools they need to succeed in the online space.

I ended up here because of a string of jobs that left me unfulfilled, anxiety-ridden on Sunday nights, and uncharacteristically pessimistic about the future.

It was always the same thing: I’d get a new job, love it for the first 2-3 weeks, and then excuse myself to the office washroom so I could sit in the stall and wonder to myself, “what have I done?”

My last job was what finally did it for me.

I had always craved the freedom of self-employment, but my eyes had been opened to the harsh realities of what not going for it could mean: a life of not living by my values, less-than-ideal work environments, and standing in the produce aisle trying to decide if I could afford an avocado toast addiction and still make rent.

Once I decided that I was done trying to force myself into a reality that I didn't want, I left my job and started Design Nook from the orange couch in my living room.

With my business, I finally found my little corner of the internet that I felt good in.

Fun fact - that’s why I named it “Design Nook”.

Now my goal is to help you do the same.

I’m not just here to design a brand or a website that you’re proud to put in your Instagram bio, but to be your virtual bff and cheer you on as you chase your dreams too.

So, how did I get here?
I'll give you the cliff notes version:

Today I get to work with amazing, passionate, purpose-driven clients and I couldn’t be happier.
