How to Add Scrolling Text to Showit (Infinite Marqee)

One of the benefits of Showit is that you don’t need any code to make a beautiful and unique website. But sometimes you just want to use some to add that little something extra to your website.

One of my favourite code snippets to use when designing Showit websites is for the scrolling text effect (aka an infinite marquee).

All you have to do is copy the code below, select the “embed code” widget from the menu locayed at the bottom of your Showit screen, and paste it in. And that’s all!

The code snippet (copy and paste this!):

<marquee behavior=”alternate” style=”font-family:Ubuntu Mono; color:#29261d; letter-spacing: 0.1px; padding-top: 10px; font-size: 12px” scrollamount=”2″ loop=”infinite”>YOUR MESSAGE GOES HERE. YOUR MESSAGE GOES HERE. YOUR MESSAGE GOES HERE. </marquee>

How to add it into Showit:

Step 1:

Copy the above scrolling text code and click “Embed Code” within Showit.

Step 2:

Paste the code within the Embed Code box.

Step 3:

 • Add your brand font after where it says “font-family:”
 • Add your preferred font colour’s hex code after where it says “color:”
 • Add your preferred font size after where it says “font-size:”
 • To increase or decrease speed, putter a higher or lower number after “scrollamount=”

I hope that helped! Let me know if you have any questions at all.
